Shir Tikvah's Showtunes Sing-along! DATE TO BE DETERMINED
Have you been singing along to Hamilton in the shower for a year? Or humming “My Favorite Things” since Shabbat at the Movies? Do you have a favorite Disney musical? Do you know the difference between Rodgers & Hammerstein and Lerner & Loewe?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, Shir Tikvah’s Showtunes Sing-along is the Great Gathering for you!
Join master accompanist Eric Brook and master of ceremonies Bruce Manning, along with card-carrying musical theater nerds Aaron Lichtov and Molly Keenan, for a night that promises to be the lovechild of summer camp and karaoke. We’ll start with some kid-friendly tunes, including but not limited to Disney faves,
and work our way toward the more mature portion of the
program. Stay for as much or as little of the evening as you like. Bring treats and non-alcoholic beverages if you wish.
If you’ve ever done karaoke, you know how this works: once the set list is released, you can sign up for tunes you want to perform/lead (solo or with a group). Send your request to Aaron. The rest of us will sing with you and cheer for you. There will also be day-of-event sign-up opportunities. Date to be determined at Shir Tikvah. $18 per person; $36 per family.
