Rabbi Latz has been Shir Tikvah's Senior Rabbi since July 2009. He brings to the congregation boundless energy, heartfelt compassion, and commitment to fostering an authentic and engaging Jewish experience. Previously, he was the founding rabbi of Kol HaNeshamah in West Seattle. A Wexner Fellow during rabbinical school, Rabbi Latz was ordained by Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in 2000.
Rabbi Rappaport joined Shir Tikvah in 2015 as Director of Lifelong Learning, after serving as Rabbi and Executive Director at B’nai Vail Congregation for the prior seven years. Rabbi Rappaport was ordained through the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in 2007. In a prior career, she worked in sales, marketing, and change management in technology businesses and earned an MBA from the Wharton School of Business. At Shir Tikvah, she teaches and facilitates numerous groups of engaged adult learners. She loves to see people’s eyes light up with Jewish learning and its relevance for today. Rabbi Rappaport previously served on the board of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, and is incoming co-chair of the Minnesota Rabbinical Association.
Rabbi Lekach-Rosenberg joined the Shir Tikvah community in the summer of 2017 as Assistant Rabbi, with a focus on music, prayer and activism. She was ordained by the Rabbinical School of Hebrew College in June 2017. She spent her final two years of rabbinical school working as a full-time rabbinic fellow at B’nai Jeshurun in New York City, where she developed innovative initiatives for people of all ages and backgrounds to deepen their relationship with prayer, music and spiritual practice. She is inspired by courageous acts of music making, prophetic activism and transformative moments in communal life.
Alison provides staff support to many areas of our operations including finance, administration, fundraising and congregant relations.
Communications Manager & Clergy Assistant
Nikolina maintains the Shir Tikvah website, eNews, Yahrzeit and other special notices, and all other community communications. She is also vital to tracking incoming information, managing outgoing information, scheduling rabbinical appointments, and processing lifecycle details that keep our community connected..
Carmen manages the entirety of the physical space at Shir Tikvah, from cleaning to organizing, ordering supplies, and prepping for every event that takes place within the building of Shir Tikvah.
Director of Congregant Engagement & Events
Sara is responsible for managing incoming and ongoing membership relations, as well as all event management details/logistics, building usage, and creating (and executing!) our delicious in-house menus.
Courtney is responsible for the financial matters of the operation.
Director of Youth Education & Programming
Forrest is responsible for our comprehensive youth education and activities programs, including Religious School, Hebrew School (including B'nei Mitzvah preparation) and STiFTY. Forrest is also Staff Lead during Sukkot and organizes/operates Shabbaton.

Founding Rabbi Emerita
Rabbi Offner became the Shir Tikvah Founding Rabbi Emerita in July 2008 after 20 years of visionary and loving leadership. She came to the Twin Cities in 1984, the first woman Rabbi in the state of Minnesota. Shir Tikvah treasures our relationship with Rabbi Offner and continues to be inspired by her wisdom, vision, and courage.
